PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical fiber cable which makes connecting work such as attaching a plug easy, which has excellent flexibility and preferable chemical resistance and flame resistance, and to provide an optical fiber cable with a plug. SOLUTION: The optical fiber cable comprises an optical fiber and a primary coating layer and a secondary coating layer successively applied around the optical fiber. The primary coating layer is made of a first polyamide resin composition essentially comprising a polyamide resin. The secondary coating layer has at least an innermost layer made of a second polyamide resin composition containing a specified amount of a specified polymer. Preferably, the optical fiber has at least an outermost layer made of a copolymer having a vinylidene fluoride unit, and this prevents pistoning. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
