摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a high-Si spring steel with reduced ferrite decarbonization, from which a coiled spring for suspension superior in fatigue strength can be manufactured without needing a peeling process. SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the high-Si spring steel wire with reduced ferrite decarbonization comprises, when producing a wire rod by heating and hot-rolling a slab of the high-Si spring steel containing 1.0% Si or more by weight ratio, finishing the final rolling in a surface temperature range of 800-1,000°C, winding it into a coil shape without water cooling before winding, and cooling it at an air-cooling rate or less until the metamorphosis completes, without suddenly changing a cooling condition in a cooling step after winding.
