摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wavelength dependency of light power loss, to use an input port and an output port in common, and to enable size reduction. <P>SOLUTION: A device has a light dispersion compensating element 10 and a reflection optical system 30 including a mirror device 32 which reflects going light 44 propagated in the element. The mirror device is so arranged as to reflect the going light as return light 46 along the going path. A compensating element is structured by forming a 1st light dispersion compensating multi- layered film 22 on a 1st substrate 16, forming a 2nd light dispersion compensating multi-layered film 24 on a 2nd substrate 18 separately, and then bringing surfaces of both the substrates where the films are not formed into optical contact with each other to provide light dispersion compensating mirrors on both the surfaces of a common substrate 26. The mirror device is one of a Faraday rotary mirror, a plane mirror, a fiber grating and other dispersion compensating mirrors. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p>
