PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment ink for ink-jet printing excellent in printing stability, delivery stability, preservation stability and washing fastness. SOLUTION: The pigment ink for ink-jet printing comprises at least a colorant, a water-soluble organic solvent, a blocked isocyanate and water, where the colorant comprises a pigment coated with a resin. A heat treatment after ink-jet printing on a fabric causes cleavage and polymerization of the blocked isocyanate thereby permitting the ink to achieve fast fixing properties.
