<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for writing image data to a recording medium for writing image data in the recording medium such that the image data can be displayed without causing the image reproductivity deterioration, the character visibility deterioration or the like even when a defect pixel is present in the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The position of a defect pixel of a recording medium 10 is detected by a defect pixel position detecting means 41a, and image data to be written in the recording medium 10 are processed by an image data processing means 41b. Then, the processed image data are written in the recording medium 10 by a recording means 5. The written image data are displayed by a large number of pixels of the recording medium 10. Since the image data are processed according to the position of the defect pixel, the adverse effect by the defect pixel in displaying the image data can be alleviated, so that the image reproductivity deterioration and the character visibility deterioration can be restrained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
