PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel treatment method for halogen compound-containing wastewater having a high cleaning capacity in the treatment of halogen compound-containing wastewater and capable of suppressing a treatment cost low. SOLUTION: In wet oxidation treatment for oxidizing and/or decomposing halogen compound-containing wastewater in the presence of an oxygen source under pressure holding the wastewater to a liquid phase, a material for covering the inner surface of a reaction system with a resin is used as the material of the reaction system.
