The air treatment unit (1) consists of a housing (2) with an intake (3) and outlet (4), one or more filters (5) and a fan (6) with blades (9). It also has a regulator (7) that controls the flow rate according to the throughput of the filter(s), ensuring a constant air flow as the filters get blocked, using an instrument (8) that measures the air pressure at the level of the fan blades and detects any variation that corresponds to a change in the air flow. Changes in the air flow rate are compensated for by a control unit (10) adjusting the fan speed.
