PURPOSE: A remote lecture system is provided to execute a remote lecture effectively by removing a moving picture including a lecturing video of a lecturer, displaying only essential lecture data on a screen of a trainee, and transmitting information necessary for progressing a lecture such as a voice of the lecturer, a mouse pointer which indicates a lecture progressing portion, etc. CONSTITUTION: A lecture file stored in a lecturer terminal is downloaded to a trainee terminal connected to a communication network such as the Internet and stored in a storage of the trainee terminal(S1). The lecture file is executed by a lecture file executing program included in the trainee terminal(S2). Contents of the lecture file are displayed on a screen of the trainee terminal. The lecturer terminal is connected to the trainee terminal through a TCP/IP for transmitting information necessary for a lecture(S3). When the lecturer gives a lecture using a microphone and a mouse in the lecturer terminal, a page number, a mouse pointer, and a voice of the lecturer are transmitted to the trainee terminal(S4). The voice is encoded and decoded by sound cards. Thus, the trainee listens to the voice of the lecturer and watches a page number and a mouse pointer in the lecture file through the trainee terminal(S5). |
