PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To speedily set up a communication path by easily performing setting to an external communication equipment when connecting the external equipment to an information equipment. SOLUTION: The communication control unit is provided with communication control parts prepared corresponding to a plurality of communication protocols existent in advance and virtual communication control parts as many as the communication control parts. Between the communication control parts and the virtual communication control parts, port drivers are interposed to make the specific communication control part into one-to-one correspondence to the virtual communication control part. An application uses the virtual communication control part corresponding to a designated communication protocol. The virtual communication control part and the communication control part mutually exchange data via the port driver. According to the predetermined corresponding relationship of the virtual communication control part and the communication control part between the plurality of existent virtual communication control parts and the plurality of existent communication control parts, the port driver sets up a state of the connection with the communication control part corresponding to the virtual communication control part which requests the connection to the communication control part.
