<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a haptic information transmission system or an information sensing device, in which a sensing part makes various movements in two directions so as to transmit information. <P>SOLUTION: Thin plate-like magnets 12, 13, 14, 15 are disposed on a base 2 to generate a magnetic field in a vertical direction. The sensing part 1 is supported on them and is movable in the horizontal direction. A plurality of coils are fixed on the sensing part, and the coils include ones intersecting the magnetic field in the X direction and ones intersecting in the Y direction. Then, a current or an applied voltage supplied to them is controlled, so that the sensing part 1 is driven arbitrarily in the XY plane. An operator, by placing his finger on the sensing part, recognizes the movement of the sensing part and can acquire information. An operation signal for driving the sensing part can be supplied from other information processing device, and can be associated with image information displayed on a display so as to operate the sensing part. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
