PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust a water level without fouling the hands by employing such a simple structure that a sheathing plate is set in a fixed state by making use of a water stream or a hydraulic pressure of the drainage groove. SOLUTION: A water level adjusting drainage groove is formed of a drainage groove 1 having a substantially U-shaped section and the sheathing plate 11 damming water in the drainage groove 1. In the drainage groove 1, pieces 2a, 2b narrowing the inner wall are obliquely formed in the direction opposite to the water stream direction F and the sheathing plate 11 is vertically moved up and down along the pieces 2a, 2b. The rearward side (rear side part 1B) of the pieces 2a, 2b is formed much bulgy than the front side (front side part 1A) of the pieces 2a, 2b. A knob 15 for manual raising/lowering movement is protrusively formed above the drainage groove 1 and a water discharging opening 12 discharging water downward is formed in the lower part of the knob 15.
