PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an armature coil of a DC motor capable of minimizing spring-back after an armature coil is developed. SOLUTION: A coil wire having a square cross section is bent into U-shape so that one side surface is positioned in the same plane. Then, with one side part 5a used as a fixed part, the other side 5b is developed in the direction almost orthogonal to the side surface so that the angle formed between the side surface and that of one side comes to be a prescribed value. At that time, the one side which is to be the fixed part is subsidiarily developed in such direction as angle is widened around its center. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
