PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for removing dust which simply removes cotton dust etc. adhering to a mop for cleaning a floor in a Western-style room. SOLUTION: A cylinder 5 on which nylon cords 4 are implanted sparsely is pivotally supported in a case 14, and the teeth of a comb 9 of the same length as the cylinder 5 are separated a little from the cylinder 5 facing up and fitted to the case 14. The mop 8 is placed on an opening part 15 at the top of the case 14 to cover, and a switch pedal 16 is stepped to turn the cylinder 5 by a motor 6 to scrape the dust adhering to the mop 8 with the nylon cords 4 and to invert the mop 8 to remove the dust on the other side. After the nylon cords 4 scrapes the dust off, dust remaining a little at the nylon code 4 is removed when passing through the teeth of the comb whose teeth face up. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
