A nozzle for a cleaner is provided to form swirl due to the movement of air by crossing recessed grooves formed at adjacent compartments, thereby sucking impurities on a carpet easily. A nozzle for a cleaner comprises a suction port(50) for sucking air and impurities, a suction passage(60), plural partitions(70), and a recessed groove(80). The suction passages communicated with the suction port guide the air and impurities outside to the suction port to have at least two directional components. The plural partitions formed between the suction passages divide adjacent suction passages. The recessed grooves formed at the partitions are capable of flowing air between the adjacent passages. The width of the partitions varies to one side, and is tapered from the outside to the inside. The recessed grooves are formed along the partitions at regular intervals. The depth of the recessed grooves is smaller than the depth of the suction passages.
