PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that an electric power of AC100 V for actuating an operating part indicating the action of an on-off valve and a controlling part controlling the on-off valve needs a power source cord and causes an obstacle for placing an article in a cabinet and the impossibility to attach the socket after use in a home with no power-outlet socket. SOLUTION: A water purification apparatus is provided with a water purification part wherein the on-off valve connecting a water feeding opening with a water passage and performing discharge and stopping of water, the water passage through which an original water passes, a water purification means connected with the water passage and purifying the original water introduced from the water passage are provided, a water passage through which the purified water from the water purification part passes, and the controlling part provided with a water discharging opening and controlling the on-off valve. The water purification apparatus is provided with a hydro-electric power generating part utilizing water stream of the purified water, the operating part indicating the action of the on-off valve, the power source part for charging with electric power generated by the hydro-electric power generating part, and a displaying part for displaying information by a command of the controlling part by the power source part charged.
