<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink recording element which shows a higher image quality, a less significant difference of glossiness and better lamination adhesiveness compared with a conventional technique-based element. <P>SOLUTION: The ink recording element comprises a hydrophilic absorbing layer and a hydrophilic overcoat polymer layer comprising a cellulose ether and a vinyl latex polymer. An optionally selective intermediate layer can be arranged between the hydrophilic absorbing layer and the hydrophilic overcoat polymer for promoting the lamination adhesiveness. There is also provided an ink printing method comprising the preparation of said ink recording element and the application of ink liquid droplets in an image fashion to the recording element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
