PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To precisely detect the reception time of a known symbol. SOLUTION: This device is equipped with a correlating circuit 3 which correlates receive signals quantized by A/D quantizers 1 and 2 with a known pattern, a reception timing detecting circuit 8 which compares the obtained correlation values with a predetermined threshold value by a comparator 12 after interpolating them by an interpolator 9, decides that the known symbol is received when the correlation values are larger than the threshold value, and outputs the current reception time, and a reception window control circuit 15 which sends reception time information out to the correlating circuit 3 and reception timing detecting circuit 8. A switch may be provided in front of the interpolator 9 to stop the detection of the known symbol and detect only the precedent wave of the receive waves after the known symbol is received. Further, deviation in reception timing may be detected by adding the detected reception time to optimum reception time to initialize a counter 16 with the deviation quantity. |
