A wiper lever has a wiper arm 21 and a wiper blade 22 which is coupled to its free end. One of the two components has a joint bolt 40 with a flattened portion 41 and the other has a receptacle bore 46 with an insertion opening 48 for the joint bolt 40. In the operating position of the wiper blade 22 with respect to the wiper arm 21 the insertion opening 48 is located on the flattened portion 41 of the joint bolt 40. Its width is matched to the dimension of the joint bolt 40 perpendicularly with respect to its flattened portion 41. In order to be able to transmit well the forces necessary for operation from the wiper arm 21 to the wiper blade 22, as shown in particular by Fig. 1, the joint bolt only has one flattened portion 41 which, in the operating position with respect to the wiper blade 22, is located at least approximately parallel to the longitudinal extent of the wiper blade 22. <IMAGE>
