A zoom lens and an imaging apparatus are provided to reduce a cost and to improve an optical performance by using resin lenses in first and second lens groups. A zoom lens includes first to fourth lens groups(G1-G4) in order from an object side to change magnification by changing intervals between the lens groups. The first lens group has positive power and includes a negative meniscus lens(L11), a reflecting member(LP), and a positive lens(L13). The reflecting member bends an optical path at approximately 90°. The negative lens is made of resin and has at least one aspheric surface. The second lens group has negative power and includes a negative lens(L21) made of resin at a side closest to the object side. The third lens group includes a positive lens(L31) having a convex surface to the object side. The fourth lens group has positive power and includes an aspheric surface lens(L43) with at least one aspheric surface.
