A method and an apparatus of receiving service guide information are provided to receive only service guide information about a channel that a service provider uses through an interactive channel, thereby effectively receiving the service guide information. A terminal receives service guide information from a service guide information provider. The terminal produces a service guide information request message(S110). A service guide information request message comprises identifier information of the service provider providing a communications service through the interactive channel. The terminal transmits the request message to a server connected to the interactive channel. The server receives the message from the terminal(S120).
