PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solenoid the manually operated pin of which can be operated without using any tool and which can be manufactured inexpensively. SOLUTION: This solenoid is provided with a coil assembly 10 around which a coil 12 is wound, a tube assembly 20 containing a fixed core 21, a mobile core 22, and a stopper 23, and a manual operating section 30 which manually presses the mobile core 22. The operating section 30 is provided with a manually operated pin 32 and a cap 31 which moves the pin 32. The mobile core 22 is pressed by moving the pin 32 by rotating the cap 31 screwed on the stopper section 25 of the stopper 23. In addition, the removal of the coil assembly 10 from the tube assembly 20 is prevented by fitting a coil spring 34 between the coil assembly 10 and the cap 31 and, at the same time, the positioning of the cap 31 is performed by fitting a C-type snap ring to the stopper section 25.
