A pressure reducing valve, comprising a valve support member having water flow passages formed therein, a valve seat fitted into the valve support member on the primary side of the secondary side end part of the water flow passage, a bottomed cylindrical valve element slidably fitted onto the secondary side end part of the valve support member and having an open end allowed to abut on the valve seat in the state of the cylindrical part thereof covering the secondary side end part of the water flow passage, a seal member for sealing a sliding part between the valve support member and the valve element, and an elastic body disposed in the valve element and energizing the valve element in a direction to move the valve element apart from the valve seat.
