PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a read head fine adjustment and a transmission mechanism for a disk drive. SOLUTION: The mechanism is provided with a disk rotating device, a moving device, a fine adjustment mechanism, a moving drive motor, a gear set and a position difference compensation device. The inclination angle of a slide rail is adjusted upwards by loosening the fine adjustment screw rod of the fine adjustment mechanism and downwards by tightening it. As soon as the inclination angle of the slide rail is adjusted, the position difference device of the position difference compensation device is pushed up by an elastic means, the different end of the position difference device is rotated in a direction opposite to a moving drive motor main body and a position difference is compensated and adjusted. Simultaneously, a driven gear is constantly held in a pressurized state and engaged with a rack. Thereafter, the moving drive motor drives the gear by rotation and operates a first stage driven gear, thus a second stage driven gear drives the rack simultaneously and a moving sheet is stably and smoothly moved back and forth on the slide rail.
