Packagings (12, 12) are transported along at least one conveyor device (20, 22) with follower plates (14, 14, 16, 16) containing at least one horizontal slot (25, 25, 33, 35). A guide rail (26, 28, 30, 32, 34, 36) is provided for each follower plate and extends alongside the conveyor device, one of the slots in the follower plate being engageable with the rail.
