<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the resolution of a display panel higher by relaxing the time restriction caused by data writing in blinking in which black data are forcibly written in pixels after picture data are written in the pixels in a frame period. <P>SOLUTION: In an electro-optical display device, two switching elements are provided in parallel in each of pixels 2 constituting a liquid crystal panel 1. In a frame period, the writing of picture data to the pixels is performed by successive selection of first scanning lines GA by a first scanning line driving part 3a. Then, the rewriting of black data to the pixels in which the picture data are written is performed by the successive selection of second scanning lines GB by a second scanning line driving part 3b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
