PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display by which voltage lowering of transfer voltage to bend orientation is enabled. SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display having a plurality of pixels 110 formed like a matrix, video signal lines 6 provided by every column of the pixels 110 and a liquid crystal layer to transfer from spray orientation to the bend orientation, capable of performing the transfer by impressing voltage for transfer in which polarity is reversed by every column on the liquid crystal layer through the respective video signal lines 6, after that, successively writing video signals in a plurality of pixels 110 by every line of the pixels through the respective video signal lines 6 and performing display by impressing the voltage according to the written video signals to the transferred liquid crystal layer, in the case of the transfer, one or more pixels 110 are connected with the video signal lines 6 of columns adjacent to columns to which the respective pixels belong (15, 16).
