PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agent for the selective constriction of the urethral smooth muscle and an agent for treating stress urinary incontinence containing an imidazolidine derivative or its pharmacologically permissible salt as an active component and provide 2-(2-methoxynaphthyl-1-imino)imidazolidine or its pharmacologically permissible salt useful as an agent for the selective constriction of the urethral smooth muscle and an agent for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence. SOLUTION: The invention provides an agent for the selective constriction of the urethral smooth muscle and an agent for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence containing an imidazolidine derivative expressed by formula (I) (R is H or a substituted or unsubstituted lower alkyl) or its pharmacologically permissible salt as an active component and provides 2-(2-methoxynaphthyl-1- imino)imidazolidine or its pharmacologically permissible salt useful as an agent for the selective constriction of the urethral smooth muscle and an agent for the treatment of stress urinary incontinence.
