<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bicycle with a link mechanism converting a dead point upon driver's stepping-on of a pedal to a driving point by the action of the link mechanism by a driver's own weight, allowing a smooth gilding state of traveling of the bicycle by only lightly stepping on the pedal, and having a cushioning property. <P>SOLUTION: In this bicycle, the link mechanism R has four-side relation comprising chain stays 8, a main pipe 10, and a back fork 9 installed to the main pipe 10 and bridged from a vertical pipe 5 supporting a saddle 4 to a rear wheel 7. A fixed side of the link mechanisms R comprises the chain stays 8 bridged from a pedal part to the rear wheel 7. The other three sides executing link operation are composed of the main pipe 10 integrally formed in the vertical pipe 5 cut such that the lower end is vertically freed; the back fork 9 having one end pivotally mounted to the vertical pipe 5 and the other end pivotally mounted to a support plate 13 of the real wheel 7; and link side members 12, 12 bridged from a midway in the longitudinal direction of the main pipe 10 toward a pedal shaft part 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
