PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To use a porous aggregate in order to enhance the function of a porous concrete by solving the problem that a porous concrete does not fully exhibit its characteristics because of its surface entirely covered with a cement paste. SOLUTION: A porous aggregate porous concrete has a lower surface strength and a high water absorptivity than a normal concrete and a normal aggregate porous concrete, and therefore the scrubbed porous concrete article is produced by taking those into account. First, an inexpensive recyclable polystyrene paper is placed on the lower surface in the vertical direction, and a setting retarder containing a saccharide or the like is uniformly applied on the paper. The suitable roughness of the surface of the paper allows the setting retarder to uniformly spread. Thereafter, a mixed porous aggregate porous concrete is placed, and the form and the paper are released after several hours to several days. The quality can be stabilized by scrubbing with water, a brush, or the like that part of the surface which is to be scrubbed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
