摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for accurately determining a slip start time point and end time point of a continuously variable transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The slip detector for a continuously variable transmission, which detects a slip of a continuously variable transmission according to a correlation coefficient between an input rotating speed and an output rotating speed of the continuously variable transmission, comprises a slip timing determining means (Step S7, S11) for determining a time point other than a detection time point to be a slip start time point or end time point according as a slip is detected from the correlation coefficient. A time difference between the slip detection from the correlation coefficient and actual slip occurrence is thus corrected to offer an accurate determination of the slip start and end.
