<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inkjet recording ink which can give an image improved in light resistance without detriment to improved water resistance on a recording medium such as recording paper or plain paper when used in inkjet recording. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet recording ink is one containing a colorant, water, a humectant, and an organosilicon compound, wherein the organosilicon compound contains an ultraviolet absorbing moiety, and the ultraviolet absorbing moiety is a functional group of the type of benzophenone, benzotriazole, cyanoacrylate, or oxalic acid anilide. The ultraviolet absorbing moiety transforms the light energy of an ultraviolet radiation into kinetic energy, thermal energy, etc., so as to prevent the amino group of the organosilicon compound from attacking the azo group of the colorant under the influence of the ultraviolet radiation and to thereby improve both the water resistance and the light resistance of the ink. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
