<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for obtaining a reproduced sound while reducing a difference in presence feeling although the difference in presence feeling is generated owing to a difference in reverberation from a source sound field when a sound is listened to in a reproduced sound field. <P>SOLUTION: Reverberation characteristics of the source sound field and reproduced sound field are measured and the difference between the reverberation characteristics is found. A reflected sound pattern to be added to a reproduced sound is found from the found difference between the reverberation characteristics so that the reverberation characteristic of the reproduced sound field approximates that of the source sound field; and the pattern is added and reproduction is carried out in the reproduced sound field. To obtain a more effective presence feeling, frequencies are divided into specified bands, reflected sound patterns to be added in the respective bands are found and added to corresponding frequency bands of the reproduced sound, and reproduction is performed. The reverberation characteristics are measured by inputting, for example, an impulse signal to a speaker, picking up a generated sound wave by a microphone 3 provided at a position corresponding to the head of a listener, and analyzing it by an analyzer. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
