Method of detecting failure in an item of equipment comprising at least one component linked to a computer by a differential line comprising two conductors, the method comprising the steps of: - establishing, at a first point of the item of equipment, a field-based coupling with at least one of the conductors of the line and injecting via this coupling an initial test signal onto this conductor, - detecting, at a second point on the item of equipment distinct from the first, a signal reflected on the line and determining a presence of failure on the basis of a shape of the reflected signal. |
