PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cellulose ester showing high releasability from a carrier and spinnability, its manufacturing method and its formed item. SOLUTION: The cellulose ester is manufactured by reacting pulp (cellulose) having a little carboxy group content such as cellulose having a carboxy group content of not more than 1 meq/100 g with an acylating agent. The obtained cellulose ester has a carboxy group content of approximately not more than 0.8 meq/100 g based on the cellulose. A formed item such as a film, a fiber or the like may be formed by use of the cellulose ester. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
