<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic sphygmomanometer which can realize blood pressure measuring functions more accurate as well as quicker by using a same unit. <P>SOLUTION: The electronic sphygmomanometer carries an oscillometric measurement part 20 which can calculate blood pressures at a higher accuracy using more amount of biomedical information though requiring more time as blood pressures must be calculated in the process of gradually varying pressures and a SPD method measuring part 30 which accomplishes measurement in a shorter time though varied personally in the measuring accuracy with a limited amount of biomedical information as the blood pressures are measured using one or several beats of pulse waves only. In the measurement with the oscillometric measurement part 20, the calibration processing for the SPD method measuring part 30 is implemented in combination to allows the removal of complicated calibrating operations in substance. This enables the integration of the blood pressure measuring functions, different in operations and features, with the same unit to eliminate the need for purchasing sphygmomanometers with different blood pressure measuring functions separately, thereby making the sphygmomanometer obtained convenient and economical. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
