PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact tool turret for a lathe provided with a driving device for a rotary tool and capable of facilitating assembly. SOLUTION: In the tool turret provided with a tool driving shaft 71 journaled in a turret case in the direction of diameter and a driving bevel gear 72 journaled at a position where an indexing central axis of the turret case is used as a shaft center to drive the tool driving shaft, a hollow fixing shaft for fixing an inner case journaling the tool driving shaft so as to prevent its rotation has a short length and is integrated with the inner case, and the driving bevel gear and a driven bevel gear are journaled by the inner case by regulating positions in the axial direction. They are assembled as a unit, and the unit is inserted into a shaft center of a turret frame after mounting the turret case and is fixed.
