摘要 A winding apparatus for winding a paper web, comprises a measuring and controlling equipment comprising a light-emitting member that illuminates the roll of paper providing a line on a cylindrical surface of the roll of paper; a receptive surface that depicts the line; and a control unit that analyzes the depicted line to calculate the distance between roll of paper and support. A winding apparatus for winding a paper web (1), comprises a rotatably mounted reel spool (3) onto which the paper web is mounted to form a roll (4) of paper; a support (2) forming a nip (5) with the roll of paper; an actuator mounted on the support or the reel spool in order to control the distance between the support and the roll of paper; and a measuring and controlling equipment. The measuring and control equipment comprises a light-emitting member (6) arranged to illuminate the roll of paper providing a line (7) on the cylindrical surface of the roll of paper; a receptive surface arranged to depict the line; and a control unit (10) connected to the receptive system and arranged to analyze the depicted line in order to calculate the distance between the roll of paper and the support and send a position-correcting signal to the actuator when the distance calculated deviates from a predetermined distance. Independent claims are also included for: (a) a method for winding a paper web comprising rotatably mounting a reel spool onto which the paper web is to be wound to form a roll of paper; mounting a support forming a nip with the roll of paper; mounting actuators at the support or the reel pool in order to control the distance between the support and the roll of paper; illuminating the roll of paper by light from a light-emitting member as above; depicting the line by a receptive system; analyzing the line by a control unit connected to the receptive system; calculating by the control unit, upon analysis, a distance between the roll of paper and the support; and sending a position-correcting signal to the actuator when the calculated distance deviates from a predetermined distance; (b) an equipment in a winding apparatus for winding a paper web, for measuring and controlling a distance between a roll of paper being wound and a support, comprising a rotatably mounted reel spool onto which the paper web is mounted to form the roll of paper; a support forming a nip with the roll of paper; an actuator as above mounted on the support of the reel spool; a light-emitting member as above; a receptive system arranged to depict the line; and a control unit as above, connected to the receptive system; (c) a winding apparatus for a paper web, comprising a rotatable reel spool configured to receive the web on it to form a paper roll; a support adjacent to the growing paper roll, and together with the paper roll, defines a nip; an actuator configured to control a nip load between the growing paper roll; a light detection device configured to receive a reflection of the light pattern from the growing paper roll; and a control unit in communication with the light detection device and configured to determine a value representative of the nip load between the growing paper roll and the support based on the reflection of the light pattern from the growing paper roll; and (d) a method of controlling a nip load between a growing roll of paper and a support, comprising rotating a reel spool to receive a web of paper on it to form the growing paper roll that defines a nip with the support; emitting a light pattern onto a surface of the growing paper roll; receiving a reflection of the light pattern from the growing paper roll; determining a value representative of a nip load between the growing paper roll and the support according to the reflection of the light pattern; and adjusting the relative distance between the growing paper roll and the support to control the nip load. The control unit is configured to communicate with the actuator to provide a desired nip load between the growing paper roll and the support by moving the actuator
