PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of recording layout information for properly generating a sheet or the like on which a plurality of still pictures are printed side by side. SOLUTION: One embodiment of this invention, the camera capable of recording layout information used for printing a plurality of still pictures on one sheet side by side, includes: an imaging section for imaging an object and applying photoelectric conversion to the object image; an image recording means for recording the image of the object sequentially imaged by the imaging section as a still picture; and edit information entry means for entering edit information after the end of imaging by the imaging section; and a recording means for recording layout information to the image recording means, the layout information specifying whether or not the plurality of still pictures recorded on the image recording means are automatically laid out the printed out.
