PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress wasteful power consumption and also to attain speeding-up so as to reach a photographing feasible state after turning on a power source. SOLUTION: Power source turn-off modes A and B are selected by a power source switch 6. In the case of the mode A, the power source is turned off in a state in which a lens barrel 4 halts at a photographing preparation position 14. In the case of the mode B, the lens barrel 4 is housed at a collapsing position 13, and the power source is turned off. In the case where the power source is turned off in the mode A and is turned on again, it immediately turns into the photographing feasible state without performing the extending processing of the lens barrel 4. In the case where the power source is turned off in the mode B and is turned on again, it turns into the photographing feasible state after performing the extending processing of the lens barrel 4.
