PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sliding door device provided with a brake mechanism further improving safety by decelerating a moving speed of a sliding door when the sliding door is closed. SOLUTION: A one-way clutch mechanism comprises a first engaging part, a first rotating body having a second engaging part to be engaged with the first engaging part, and a second rotating body composing a one-way clutch with the first rotating body provided coaxially on the first rotating body. In the one-way clutch mechanism in which only rotation of one direction of the first rotating body is transmitted to the second rotating body and a brake mechanism in which push pressure is given to the second rotating body of the one-way clutch mechanism, the sliding door device is provided with the brake mechanism for giving brake force to the sliding door only in the case that the first rotating body is rotated in one direction.
