PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary type level detecting device that can surely and smoothly take a rotary blade 5 into and out from a vessel C. SOLUTION: The level detecting device detects the level of an object M to be measured with the fluctuation of a rotary load caused by contacting the rotary blade 5 mounted on the front end of a rotary shaft 7 driven with a motor 2 to the object M in the vessel C. The rotary blade 5 is constituted of a pair of rotatable blade pieces 51 and stopper pieces 55 controlling a rotation position of these blade pieces 51 toward a rear thereof is formed at an inner position separated from a rear edge 51a to a front thereof in each blade piece 51.
