<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic EL display device having a color organic EL panel in which brightness is not reduced even though the panel is used for a long time and a good image can be obtained. <P>SOLUTION: A signal processing circuit is provided for every input signal of RGB to compensate for the degradation with time in light emitting characteristic of the light emitting elements of the corresponding color in the panel. Each circuit is provided with an amplifying circuit which amplifies the input signals and a control circuit which controls the amplification of the amplifying circuit. The control circuit is provided with a first means which computes the value corresponding to the accumulated value of the amount of current presently being flown into the light emitting elements of the color corresponding to the input signals based on the input signals and holds the value and a second means which is used to control the amplification of the corresponding amplifying circuit to compensate for the deterioration in the light emitting characteristic of the elements. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
