METHOD FOR REMOVING COATING PART OF OPTICAL FIBER BY USING NON-CONTACT METHOD

PURPOSE: A method for removing a coating part of an optical fiber by using a non-contact method is provided to prevent a defect on a surface of the optical fiber by using the non-contact method by a hot blast. CONSTITUTION: The temperature of the heat of a heat generation unit(101) is controlled to apply the heat higher than the heat deflection temperature of an internal coating layer and lower than the heat deflection temperature of an external coating layer of an optical fiber(102). The exothermic state of the heat generation unit is maintained during the predetermined time in order to apply the heat to the optical fiber(102). The heating state of the heat generation unit is interrupted if the internal coating layer is vaporized by the heat of the heat generation unit and the external coating layer is exploded by the vaporized gas.
