PURPOSE: A jig for setting the ball center of a ball valve is provided to process the spherical surface of the ball accurately, to increase the productivity and to minimize the failure rate by setting the center of the ball to the center of the chuck installation part precisely and promptly. CONSTITUTION: A base(1) of a ball center setting jig is fixed and installed accurately in a chuck installation part, and a main spindle assembling part of a ball for processing the outer spherical surface is placed in a taper part(23) in the end of a center adjusting pin(2). The center adjusting pin is protruded by a compression spring(24), and pressed and inserted with the ball by pressing a sharp tailstock spindle to the opposite of the main spindle assembling part with fitting the center of the ball to the rotation center of the chuck. The ball is rotated stably, and the spherical surface of the ball is processed precisely by driving the chuck installation part in fitting a key protrusion of the base to the key groove of the main spindle assembling part.
