摘要 A radiation imaging apparatus 100 includes a flat plate radiation detecting device 2 to convert incident radiation into electrical signals (either directly or via fluorescence). The detection device 2 has a plurality of imaging elements 223, each imaging element 223 comprising a sensor element 221a to detect radiation or fluorescence, and a switching element 222 to switch the electrical signals output by the sensor element. When the angle of the incoming radiation is slanted, shading of the light receiving surface of the sensor elements 221a by the switching elements 222 occurs. The apparatus also includes a radiation angle of incidence correcting device in order to overcome this and provide a high resolution image slanted X-ray radiography. Other methods of compensation are disclosed where the imaging elements are provided with reflecting film (figure 3), and where the sensor elements are at an equal or greater height than the switching elements (figure 4).
