PURPOSE: A method for forming an FIR(Finite Impulse Response) filter in a phase equalizer is provided to improve the magnitude of a phase equalizer by using system identification and an RLS(Recursive Least Square) adaptive algorithm. CONSTITUTION: An analog IIR(Infinite Impulse Response) filter is formed at a phase equalizer(S101). A coefficient value of the IIR filter is obtained by using a binary transform method and transforming a phase and a magnitude characteristic of the IIR filter(S103). A difference between an output of an unknown part and an output of an adaptive model is obtained by using an RLS adaptive algorithm(S105). A minimum value of the difference between the output of the unknown part and the output of the adaptive model is determined by feeding back the obtained difference to the adaptive model(S107). A coefficient value of an FIR filter is determined if the difference between the output of the unknown part and the output of the adaptive model is the minimum value(s109). |
