PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove unwanted deposits by a convenient method to solve the problem that a conventional method requires a diver to go under the water to scrape them off by a tool such as a pallet knife or the ship is landed to be cleaned in removing unwanted matters deposited on the bottom of a small ship such as shellfishes or algae. SOLUTION: A ship bottom cleaning tool comprises a metallic coil spring 1 which is so formed that its diameter is changed so as to have small diameters at both ends and a large diameter at intermediate portion, and a rope 4 piercing through holes of the small diameter portions of both ends of the spring 1, and is constituted so that two stoppers 5, 5' are provided on the rope 4 in the spring 1. The spring 1 is made to abut against on the ship bottom, and the rope 4 is pulled at both the ends of efficiently remove the unwanted deposited mattes by repeating the expansion/restoration of the spring 1.
