PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct the deflection of a cutting edge of a tool by small force, in addition to stably keep high deflection accuracy, and to enables a correcting means of the deflection of the cutting edge to be easily applied to an existing product. SOLUTION: A collet 40 for fitting and holding a shank 29a of a tool 29 into a chuck cylinder 34 of a holder body 31 has a disklike flange 42, and a deflection correcting screw 43 extending through the flange 42 in the direction parallel to the axial line of the shank 29a of the tool to reach a leading edge surface 34b is screwed to a plurality of peripheral portions of the flange 42. The screw 43 is moved in the direction of screw-in to control the pressing force of the screw 43 to the surface 34b of the cylinder 34, thereby causing a base 29a1 of the shank 29a to be elastically deformed in such a direction that the deflection of the cutting edge of the tool 29 approximates to zero and correcting the deflection of the cutting edge of the tool 29.
