<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide various processing methods to break down more precisely soft tissue and bone images from low-energy and high-energy images which are obtained from an image forming system such as a double-energy digital X-ray radiography system using flat panel technology. <P>SOLUTION: A pre-break down process (206) spatially agrees on the low energy and the high energy images (302, 304) or agrees on the positions using a distortion position agreement (422) before double-energy image break down (208) which creates soft tissue and bone images (602, 604). The process reduces the motion artefacts between the low-energy image (302) and the high-energy image (304) and by this means, increases the clarity of the decomposed soft tissue and bone images (602, 604). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
