BROADCAST RECEIVER AND RECORDING METHOD

A broadcast receiver capable of surely recording a content which can be copied and preventing recording of a content which cannot be copied. Copy control information accompanying a content is detected by copy information detection means (4) and judged whether copy is enabled or disabled by judgment means (5). A content recorded on recording means (6) which cannot be read out by a user is transferred to recording means (7) which can be read out by the user.
